Why Toby Keith’s Daughter Krystal Doesn’t Sing Anymore...
2024/02/27

It has been almost six years since Toby Keith's daughter, Krystal Keith, last released new music. In a recent interview with Taste of Country, we asked why she had taken such a long break. Krystal Keith, who is Toby Keith's youngest daughter, gained popularity with her song "Daddy Dance With Me," which she wrote and performed for her wedding in 2010. Sadly, Toby Keith passed away on Monday after battling stomach cancer for two years.

Krystal Keith, previously known as Krystal Covel, changed her name to Krystal Sandubrae after marrying her husband, Andrew, in 2010.

Fans first got to know her in 2004 when she made an appearance with her father at the CMA Awards. They sang a duet of "Mockingbird," which became a hit on country radio. However, instead of pursuing a career in music, she decided to go to college.

In 2013, Krystal signed to her father's record label, Show Dog-Universal Music, and released the album "Whiskey & Lace." It featured two singles, "Get Your Redneck On" and her well-known song "Daddy Dance With Me." Although she received positive feedback, Krystal's focus shifted to her family.

In 2017, Krystal and her husband were involved in a car accident that nearly took their lives.

However, this incident didn't directly contribute to her decision to step away from the music scene. According to Toby Keith, Krystal is still a talented singer and songwriter. The reason she no longer performs is because she prioritizes her role as a mother to her two daughters, Kirby and Hensley.

Toby Keith explained that Krystal loves being a mother and cherishes the time she spends with her children. They keep her incredibly busy, and she devotes her energy to creating a fulfilling life for them. Although Krystal Keith may not be making music currently, her love for her family remains her top priority.
