College Wrestler Killed After Teammate Allegedly Strangled Him To Death

A tragic incident occurred at Campbellsville University over the weekend, resulting in the death of 18-year-old freshman wrestler Josiah Kilman. Reports suggest that Kilman was allegedly strangled to death by his teammate in their dorm room, leading to a call to the Campbellsville Police for an unresponsive male on campus. Despite efforts to save him, Kilman was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Following his passing, an arrest warrant was issued for 21-year-old wrestler Charles Escalera for murder. Escalera was apprehended by Kentucky State Police after being found in a barn near the Taylor County line.

Currently, he is facing charges of second-degree murder and burglary and is being held at Taylor County Detention Center. Kilman's family has set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds for transporting his body back to Montana for burial, with donations exceeding $68K. The university community mourns the loss of Kilman and extends its deepest condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time.
