Tongues started wagging that The Bold and the Beautiful alum Krista Allen is poised to become the latest cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta following a tweet she recently shared. Now, the actress is speaking out again on the latest development. Is the former Taylor on B&B about to start sharing her life in a reality series?
Allen began a tweet on X, formerly Twitter, with two emojis — one of happy face tears and another of a crying face. What's going on? Is she becoming one of the Real Housewives or not? "Not me getting pranked!" she posted. "That wasn't hw [Housewives] casting calling."
However, this story is far from over. "Details coming, as soon as I get off this phone with real casting and we stop laughing," Allen added. The actress's followers are on pins and needles, waiting to learn if their favorite star will be back on screen in a new series. "Will be watching for some real news and details!" posted thedaytimedetective.
Allen is responding to her supporters, advising one to "Get your matches ready!!"Allen joined B&B in December of 2021, taking over the role of Ridge's former wife, Dr. Taylor Hayes, the part that was originated by Hunter Tylo in 1990. After playing the role for two years and securing a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2023 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, Allen left the show.
She spoke to Soap Hub at the Daytime Emmys in December, telling us that, "I think I'm going to write a book…Something based on a true story about a girl who takes over an iconic role on a soap opera and, against all odds, ends up being nominated for a Daytime Emmy."
Allen began her soap opera career playing Bikini bar waitress Shelley in 1995. She appeared in scenes with Brent Jasmer (ex-Sly) and Bobbie Eakes (ex-Macy).
