A Californian man named Rosendo Tellez made headlines for a bizarre incident involving a human severed leg. Tellez was arrested in Wasco, a small town near Bakersfield, after witnesses spotted him walking around with what appeared to be the limb of a person involved in a train accident earlier that day.
Kern County officials revealed that the leg was illegally taken from the accident scene at the Amtrak station. Shockingly, some witnesses claimed to have seen Tellez taking bites out of the leg, which was captured in a disturbing video circulating online.
Tellez was apprehended by Sheriff's deputies and is facing charges for possession of drug paraphernalia, outstanding warrants, and removing human remains from a non-cemetery location. This act is considered a misdemeanor in California.
He is currently in custody awaiting a hearing scheduled for Tuesday to address the charges against him.
