Four changes for Italy as Ange Capuozzo returns while Michele Lamaro gets new role
2024/02/09

Italy head coach Gonzalo Quesada has made four changes to his starting lineup for their Round Two Six Nations Test against Ireland. Backline star Ange Capuozzo returns after missing the previous game due to illness and will start at full-back. Capuozzo's inclusion means Tommaso Allan will be on the bench. Stephen Varney replaces Alessandro Garbisi at scrum-half. In the forwards, Sebastian Negri and Lorenzo Cannone's absence allows Michele Lamaro to shift to number eight and Alessandro Izekor to make his first Test start. Despite the changes, Quesada remains confident ahead of the match against Ireland.
