Reports suggest that former Springboks centre Andre Esterhuizen is being targeted by his former club, the Sharks. Esterhuizen's contract with Harlequins comes to an end in 2025, but the Sharks are willing to pay a significant fee to bring him back to South Africa. Despite interest from other clubs, including Toulon and Japanese teams, the Sharks are hopeful of securing Esterhuizen's return. The team is in need of an inside centre, with Rohan Janse van Rensburg set to leave at the end of the season. The Sharks are also rumored to be interested in signing prop Trevor Nyakane.
