REPORT: More 'Yellowstone' Drama as Cast Members Demand Huge Salaries
2024/02/08

The ongoing dispute between Kevin Costner and the producers of Yellowstone has been resolved, but new drama is unfolding behind the scenes. According to a report by Puck News, cast members Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Luke Grimes are demanding large salary increases for the upcoming sequel. Reilly initially asked for $1.5 million per episode, making her one of the highest-paid actors on TV. Hauser is asking for $1.25 million per episode. Paramount is offering $850,000 per episode for Season 1 and $950,000 per episode for Season 2, with a two-season guarantee. Another aspect of the negotiations is the fact that Yellowstone signed pay-or-play deals with all three actors for Season 6, which was subsequently canceled.

Paramount suggests using that money for the salary increases, but Reilly and Hauser claim it would be like borrowing from their own guaranteed money. Paramount has sent the actors a final offer, but if an agreement is not reached, the sequel may proceed without the original cast or Matthew McConaughey, who has not yet signed on.
