Ashley Jones shared with her social media followers the deep personal loss she felt last month when her grandmother passed away. Now The Bold and the Beautiful star is letting her followers know just how special her dear relative was.

Ashley Jones: Remembering With Love

"Yesterday was a beautiful celebration of a life well-lived. My grandmother Vonda would have been so proud to see her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren gather to honor her," Jones began an Instagram post.

"My grandmother, born in 1929, was a novelist and poet, as well as a vivacious, ambitious entrepreneur in a time and place where women were not rising to the top of the business world easily," the actress continued. "I treasure all the handwritten letters Nanny sent me, grateful I have them. She had many accomplishments, but her greatest was her service to the Lord. While she was extremely proud of her successful businesses, she was more proud of her family.

"She was a mother to 9 children, grandmother to 27 grandkids, 42 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren," Jones shared. "If you're still reading at the point, one of things I hope you take away from this post is this: really talk to those you love.

Let them know how proud you are of them in the living years. Although I knew my grandmother well and loved her deeply, I learned things about her I never knew until yesterday. One thing I did know for sure, until her last breath, she sang of the goodness of God. A special thank you to those of you that worked tirelessly to make Nanny's celebration perfect. I love you."

Many of Jones's pals weighed in with supportive comments — especially from her days at Young and the Restless where she began her career as Megan in 1997. "What a beautiful tribute for a beautiful woman!" wrote Sabryn Genet, who played Megan's sister Tricia.

"I didn't realize how much you and your mother look like her! I also didn't know your mom had so many siblings! Wow, what a great life she had. Love to Mama Jones and your family."

"Grandma's are the best. Can't wait to meet her in heaven!" shares Scott Reeves (ex-Ryan, Y&R). Adds Jones's B&B mother Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke): "She looks so sweet and beautiful. So sorry. Sending you lots of love." Soap Hub sends sincere condolences to Jones at this difficult time.
