Country artist Jelly Roll kicked off the 57th annual CMA Awards with a powerful performance of his song "Need a Favor." He was joined on stage by surprise guest Wynonna Judd and a choir of background singers. The performance ended with pyrotechnics. Jelly Roll, who received five nominations, including New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year, expressed his honor at opening the show. He will also perform a rendition of The Judds' "Love Can Build a Bridge" at the end of the awards. The show also featured performances from various country artists.
