University of Oklahoma Honors Toby Keith With Red Solo Cups
2024/02/11

The University of Oklahoma's men's basketball team, known as the Oklahoma Sooners, paid tribute to country singer Toby Keith during their game against Oklahoma State. All fountain drinks and beers were served in red solo cups, a nod to Keith's hit song "Red Solo Cup." The light-hearted gesture came at the end of a difficult week for country fans, as Keith had passed away from stomach cancer. Keith, an Oklahoma native, had close ties to the University of Oklahoma despite not attending college himself. Keith's daughter, Krystal, shared that her father had strong connections to the university and that he insisted his children enroll at OU. Keith passed away at the age of 62 and is survived by his wife and three children.
