Video Shows New Yorkers in Times Square Unfazed by 4.8 Earthquake
2024/04/05

New York City residents proved their resilience once again when a 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck the area, causing minimal disruption to the daily hustle and bustle of the bustling city. In a video captured in Times Square, not a single person appeared fazed by the tremor as they continued with their activities as usual. The footage showed tourists taking selfies, cars zipping by without any issue, and pedestrians going about their day without incident. While the visible shaking lasted only about 20 to 30 seconds, those indoors, including the crew at "MLB Central," did take notice and reacted to the earthquake live on the air. Closer to the epicenter in New Jersey, residents experienced a more unnerving situation as captured by Ring camera footage showing personal items falling and a family dog panicking. This earthquake, occurring three months after a 1.7 magnitude tremor, was considered significant for the region.
