A couple who had been considering getting a goldfish were surprised one day when an orange Tabby cat appeared at their house. The cat, named Carmelo, had scratched at their door before but had never been allowed inside. However, one day, Morgan accidentally left the door open and Carmelo took the opportunity to come inside. As his visits became more frequent, the couple took it as a sign that he wanted to be friends. Carmelo got comfortable quickly and began to play with his new human friends. He would then nap after playing, which Morgan was perfectly fine with. Carmelo now comes and goes as he pleases, and his visits have turned into sleepovers. The couple finds joy in Carmelo's presence each day.
