Country singer Andy Stone, stage name Vince Vance, is suing Mariah Carey for $20 million over alleged copyright infringement of his song "All I Want for Christmas Is You." Stone claims that Carey's hit song, released in 1994, borrowed from his 1989 version. He previously filed a similar suit in Louisiana, which was dropped later. Stone is seeking damages from Carey, co-writer Walter Afanasieff, and Sony Music Entertainment. The lawsuit argues that Carey had access to Stone's version and did not seek a license or songwriting credit. Stone is asking for a jury trial.
