Former England international to captain much-changed Crusaders against Bristol Bears
2024/02/08

The Bristol Bears and the Crusaders have announced their matchday squads for their pre-season game at Ashton Gate on Friday evening. This will be the Super Rugby Pacific champions' final match of their tour in the northern hemisphere, and it is expected to be an exciting event with over 20,000 spectators. For Bristol, Siva Naulago will make his first start of the season, replacing another player in the backline from their previous win. Bristol's director of rugby, Pat Lam, has selected a 26-man squad for the match, including academy players Sam Worsley and Paddy Pearce on the bench. The Crusaders, on the other hand, have made 10 changes to their starting lineup, with former England player Willi Heinz captaining the team. Both squads have plenty of depth with a number of players ready to make an impact from the bench. The match will take place at Ashton Gate on Friday, February 9, with a kick-off at 19:30 GMT.
