Peter Dinklage has been cast as the character Dr. Dillamond in the upcoming two-part musical movie Wicked, alongside Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Dinklage's role in the film is of a goat who is a professor of history at Shiz University. He warns Elphaba about dark forces that threaten the speaking animals of Oz, including himself. The movie, directed by Jon M. Chu, is set to release on November 27, 2024, and November 26, 2025. Grande and Erivo expressed their dedication to honoring their characters and the responsibility they feel towards the roles. The cast also includes Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz. Dinklage, known for his work on Game of Thrones, has won multiple Emmy awards and a Golden Globe. Apart from his TV work, he has appeared in various films and has several upcoming projects like Unfrosted, Brothers, and The Thicket.
