Her mother, Jayne Mansfield, was a sex symbol back in the day, known for her sultry looks and attractive smile.
Hargitay often shares photos of her late mother on her Instagram profile. She lost her mother when she was just three years old and grew up learning how her mother had made a huge name in the entertainment industry.
On April 19. 2023, Hargitay shared a black-and-white photo of her late mother to pay tribute to her on her birthday. Mansfield would have turned 90 in 2023.
"We live to love you more each day," Hargitay wrote in her Instagram post that grabbed her fans' attention in no time. Some of her followers flooded the comments section with birthday wishes, while others noticed a resemblance between Hargitay and her bombshell mother.

They were traveling on a dark road from Mississippi to New Orleans when a cloud of mosquito spray is believed to have obscured the driver's view, causing their vehicle to hit a truck from behind.
