Country singer Chris Janson, known for his hit song "Buy Me a Boat," recently had a life-changing experience during Thanksgiving. After being inspired by an 18-year-old guest who had dealt with homelessness, he decided to let go of material possessions including classic cars and watches. Janson used the money from selling these items to focus on making memories with his family, starting with a hunting and skiing trip. He realized that the young man who had so little was able to give him so much, teaching him that material things are not important. Despite this change, Janson still holds onto the desire for a cannon, even though he acknowledges it would serve no purpose in his life. This experience led him to prioritize experiences and relationships over material possessions.
