The Law & Order alum received an outpouring of shock, outrage, and sympathy from her celebrity friends and followers, including comments from Ming-Na Wen, Debra Messing, Allison Janney, and others. Harmon detailed the incident over Easter weekend, stating that the driver first delivered groceries before shooting the family's dog, with Harmon and her daughters present at home. Despite her trauma and devastation, there have been no criminal charges filed against the driver, as police have confirmed his self-defense claim. Instacart has since suspended the delivery person. Harmon took to Instagram to express her grief and denounce the "heartless act" that took her beloved Oliver away.
