During the 2023 CMA Awards, Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, and Hardy performed a tribute to Joe Diffie, announcing that the third volume of the Hardy-curated Hixtape collaboration series will be dedicated to Diffie. The album, titled Difftape, will feature covers of Diffie's songs created from his recordings in the '90s, with added vocals from other country music singers. Wallen and Malone are among the collaborators. Studio versions of the performed songs are already released, and the full album will be available on March 29, 2024.
