Nate Smith Rises to the Top for Weeks on End with His Hit ‘World On Fire’
2024/02/07

Nate Smith's song "World On Fire" has maintained its position at the top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart for eight consecutive weeks. This achievement ties Smith with three other songs for the second-longest reign at number one on the charts. The song also reached number one on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart for three weeks. Reflecting on the success of the song, Smith explained that it wasn't even supposed to be released, but gained popularity on social media and had high demand. The song, which Smith co-wrote with Ashley Gorley, Lindsay Rimes, and Taylor Phillips, focuses on the theme of fire, inspired by the Camp Fire in Paradise, CA, and serves as a breakup anthem.

To satisfy fans' cravings for the song, Smith's team strategically released it as part of a deluxe collection alongside his debut album. The album went to number six on the Billboard Country albums chart and number 30 on the overall Billboard Top 200 chart. This album also produced two RIAA Gold-certified hits. Smith expressed his gratitude to fans and country radio for the song's success and praised "World On Fire" for being the anchor of his album. This is Smith's second consecutive number one single in just a year, following his debut single "Whiskey On You." Smith has also achieved four number ones on SiriusXM The Highway's Hot 30 Weekend Countdown. He is currently on his World On Fire Tour and will join Morgan Wallen on his ONE NIGHT AT A TIME 2024 tour after. Smith will also perform at Stagecoach this year.
