Country music legend Toby Keith was honored at the 2024 CMT Music Awards, despite his passing two months ago due to stomach cancer. The event, held at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, saw musicians Brooks & Dunn, Lainey Wilson, and Sammy Hager pay tribute to the late singer.

Brooks & Dunn kicked off the heartfelt tribute with a performance of Toby's 1993 hit, "Should've Been a Cowboy." Sammy Hager followed suit by performing Toby's 2003 hit, "I Love This Bar." Lainey Wilson also joined in by playing Toby's 1998 track, "How Do You Like Me Now?"

During the tribute, friends, family, and fellow musicians raised red cups in memory of Toby's famous song, "Red Solo Cup.

" Former MLB star pitcher Roger Clemens gave an emotional speech, thanking Toby's family for sharing the beloved musician with the world.

Toby's children, Shelley, Krystal, and Stelen, were present at the event and were visibly touched by the tribute. The night was a fitting celebration of Toby Keith's legacy in the country music industry.
