Toby Keith Was 'Comfortable' With Death, Thanks to His Faith!
2024/02/07

Country singer Toby Keith, who recently passed away from stomach cancer, spoke about his sense of calm and faith in an interview filmed weeks before his death. Despite going through chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery, Keith expressed that he had come to terms with the possibility of not surviving his illness. He acknowledged that cancer was a roller coaster and that even if it went into remission, it would still be in the back of his mind. Keith credited his relationship with his faith for giving him this calmness and stated that people without faith wouldn't have it. He emphasized the importance of not taking faith for granted and leaning on it in both good and bad times.

Keith died on February 5 at the age of 62 after battling stomach cancer for over two years. He had taken time off for treatment but still performed in pop-up shows in Oklahoma, a televised performance at the People's Choice Country Awards, and sold-out shows in Las Vegas. Keith leaves behind his wife, three children, grandchildren, and extended family.
