Tiësto Won't Perform At Super Bowl LVIII Due to 'Personal Family Emergency'
2024/02/08

Renowned DJ Tiësto has announced that he will be unable to perform at Super Bowl LVIII due to a personal family emergency. The international star, known as the "Godfather of EDM," shared the news with his fans just days before the highly anticipated game between the 49ers and the Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium. Tiësto, who had been preparing for the event for months, expressed disappointment about missing the opportunity but emphasized that family always comes first. This would have been the NFL's first time featuring an in-game DJ at the Super Bowl, and Tiësto, who has sold over 36 million albums, was honored to take on the role. Despite the setback, the 55-year-old DJ expressed gratitude to the NFL for the collaboration and indicated his intention to work with the league on future projects. The replacement for Tiësto in the DJ booth for Super Sunday has yet to be announced.
