Michelle Pfeiffer is in negotiations to join the Yellowstone universe, a new report reveals. After a public clash with producers, Kevin Costner is reportedly leaving Yellowstone, and the show itself is set to end after the second half of Season 5 in November. Paramount Network plans to launch a Yellowstone sequel immediately after, with rumors of Matthew McConaughey starring. According to sources, Pfeiffer is currently in active discussions to play the female lead in the new series. McConaughey, on the other hand, has not yet signed on and reportedly wants to see a script first. Some of the original cast members are also said to be negotiating higher salaries, with Paramount hesitating to meet their demands. If negotiations fail, the network is prepared to move forward without the original cast members.
