Brad Cox Unveils 'Yarns & Yodels' Australian Tour
2024/02/07

Australian country music star Brad Cox has announced his upcoming tour, titled the Yarns & Yodels tour, which will feature a unique blend of music and comedy. Cox plans to perform in intimate theatres across regional Australia, promising a singalong and plenty of laughter.

In a press release, Cox explained how the concept for the Yarns & Yodels shows originated during the pandemic. He discovered a renewed love for performing in an acoustic, sit-down, solo setting while in lockdown. This stripped-back format forced him to relearn songs and play them as they were originally written. According to Cox, the formula for creating good songs involves him, a bottle of wine, and a desire to express frustration with the world.

Inspired by these intimate shows, Cox wanted to take the experience one step further and move out of pubs and into more personal settings. With several successful trial runs under his belt, he now intends to bring his unique blend of music and comedy to audiences far and wide.

The Yarns & Yodels tour is scheduled to take place from April to June. Cox will kick off the tour in Mackay, Queensland, and continue with shows in several other locations including Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia. Special guests Bud Rokesky and Midnight Chicken will join Cox on stage.

Tickets for the Yarns & Yodels tour will go on sale on Thursday, February 8th at 10 am local time via Brad Cox's website.

Fans can find all the dates and venue information on his website as well.

Brad Cox, who won the 2018 Toyota Star Maker award at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, has achieved significant success in the industry. Cox also received the Male Artist of the Year award.
